Community Service

To the general public our Community Services Committee fulfils perhaps one of the most important functions of all at Lions Clubs.

This committee reviews all applications, suggestions and recommendations for financial aid to charities, appeals and requests by and on behalf of individuals who may be in need of our assistance.

It is also pro-active in bringing to the Monthly Club Meeting for Approval its own suggestions and recommendations for the support of needy groups or individuals.

Following Committee review of applications for financial support, the Committee recommends to the Main Monthly Club Meeting that the club supports the expenditure of funds for a particular cause.

Club Members pay Membership Fees which fund the Local, National and International Lions organisation. The club organise internal fund raising activities with which to pay for the Clubs Administration costs, this then ensures that every penny of monies raised from public donations and from other supporting organisations is donated directly to those who need it.
